Since 2012, The David’s Loft Center for Somatic and Behavioral Healthcare has provided community Outpatient Mental Health treatment. Services include mental health evaluations, individual therapy, family therapy, couples therapy, group therapy, and medication management. The organization’s clinical approach is anchored in the principles of cognitive behavioral therapy. These principles include a formulation of the individual’s problems; a therapeutic partnership between the therapist and the individual; active participation from the individual; an emphasis on the here and now; training the individual to be his or her own therapist, time-limited; issue focused; an identification of dysfunctional thinking; in an effort to change thinking, behavior, and mood.

The David’s Loft Center for Outpatient Substance Use Treatment also provides outpatient substance use treatment for adults. Individuals seeking treatment must meet the American Society of Addiction Medicine criteria for outpatient level of treatment. The program is a 12 to 24 week program where individuals receive a combination of group therapy, individual therapy, and in-home/community support with the goal of preventing relapse.
